Ajtene Ademi – Promotional Campaign “Science for the Future”
Great Ideas Begin with the Courage to Ask Questions
As part of the Science for the Future promotional campaign, implemented with the support of the Johnson Matthey Community Impact Programme, we are pleased to share the inspiring story of Ajtene Ademi, a Science Teacher at "7 Marsi" Primary School in the village of Chelopek.

As an educator, Ajtene believes that the true purpose of science education is not simply to provide answers, but to encourage curiosity, critical thinking, and a lifelong desire to learn. Through her work, she inspires students to become confident explorers of the world around them.
Her message to young learners is both inspiring and empowering: “We do not teach children only to know the answers, but to have the courage to ask questions. It is precisely in this curiosity that scientists, innovators, and creators of a better future are born.”
In her personal story, Ajtene shares how curiosity became the foundation of her own professional journey: “As a student, I was always curious and eager to discover how nature around us works. It was this curiosity that led me toward science and later to the profession of biology teacher. Today, I have the opportunity not only to continue learning, but also to inspire young people to explore, ask questions, and think critically.
Science has opened many doors for me. It has given me the opportunity to participate in scientific projects, collaborate with teachers and students from different countries, and take part in international events dedicated to education and innovation. Every new experience has shown me that knowledge knows no boundaries and that great ideas often begin with one simple question.
To all students, I would like to say: don't be afraid to ask questions, experiment, and dream big. Science is not just another school subject - it is a way to understand the world and make it a better place to live. Perhaps you will be the future scientists, researchers, and innovators who will shape tomorrow.”
Ajtene Ademi is part of a growing community of dedicated educators who, through the Science for the Future campaign, inspire young people to embrace curiosity, think critically, and recognize science as a pathway to knowledge, innovation, and a brighter future.
