Macedonia2025 Achieves Record Results in 2025: Supporting 2,573 Leaders and Talents, 168 Businesses, and 190 Scholars
Skopje, December 12, 2025 – Macedonia2025 has announced its achievements for 2025, marking a record year in supporting economic development, leadership, and the country’s global connectivity. Over the course of the year, the organization implemented more than 40 programs and initiatives, supporting 168 companies, awarding 190 scholarships for education and professional development, and directly reaching 2,573 leaders and talents through development programs. Macedonia2025 also recorded a significant increase in social impact, with 94 active members in governing and advisory bodies and six key policy proposals developed, which are already being integrated into national strategies and reform processes.
Global Diaspora Engagement
2025 was a landmark year for Macedonia2025’s diaspora engagement efforts. The organization conducted its first and largest global diaspora survey, with over 1,400 participants from more than 40 countries. The survey results now form the basis of the new National Strategy for Cooperation with the Diaspora 2025-2030. In partnership with the Government, Macedonia2025 launched the campaign “Macedonian Diaspora, Welcome Home”, reaching over 20,000 diaspora members worldwide. The organization also contributed to the development of multiple strategic documents in the areas of digitalization, competitiveness, higher education, science and technology, and diaspora relations.
Business and Human Capital Development
Macedonia2025 continued to strengthen the business community and human capital through programs focused on modernization, digital transformation, and leadership development. Through the GoDigital Center for Digital Transformation, 30 detailed digital maturity assessments were completed, 15 digital strategies for companies were developed, and practical technical support was provided to five companies implementing new digital solutions. These services helped companies improve competitiveness, optimize processes, and adopt tools that accelerate their integration into modern economic trends.
Additionally, 553 professionals and managers participated in specialized trainings, workshops, and webinars, creating a wider community of practitioners actively applying new expertise in their organizations. As part of efforts to cultivate a strong generation of entrepreneurs, 27 young managers and company founders enhanced their business knowledge through the renowned program conducted by Canada’s Ivey Business School within the LEADER Project, expanding the alumni network to 451 members.
Leadership Development
Macedonia2025 programs continued to cultivate a new generation of change-makers. Five Macedonian executives completed the prestigious Zafirovski Executive Education program at Kellogg School of Management (USA) in 2025, gaining advanced global management knowledge and access to an international network of leaders. This brought the Zafirovski alumni community to 51 members. Additionally, five professionals participated in executive education programs in Canada, combining academic modules with practical learning and exchange experiences in Canadian companies.
The Atanas Bliznakoff Student Excellence Scholarship supported 121 students, with 75% paired with mentors—successful Macedonian professionals from Macedonia and the diaspora—helping them develop academic skills, career pathways, and professional ambitions. Through these programs, Macedonia2025 not only provides financial and educational support but also builds a strong ecosystem of future leaders connected to a global knowledge and opportunity network.
Humanitarian Impact
In response to the tragedy in Kočani, Macedonia2025 provided €55,356 for medical equipment to three health institutions in Skopje and Kočani. The Macedonia2025 Ambassadors Club also contributed funds for renovating part of the children’s ward at the St. Erasmus Specialized Hospital in Ohrid.
Flagship Event – Macedonia2025 Summit
The 14th annual Macedonia2025 Summit once again positioned itself as the region’s leading business event. With over 700 participants, 38 speakers from 15 countries, and a rich program of panels, discussions, and B2B meetings, the Summit focused on economic growth, digital transformation, innovation, and the role of the diaspora in accelerating national development. It provided a platform for ideas and partnerships connecting domestic and global businesses.
Conclusion
With these achievements, Macedonia2025 closes 2025 as one of its most successful years to date, setting high standards for economic development, innovation, and diaspora engagement, while laying the foundation for an even more ambitious agenda in 2026.
