About the Program

The program enables Macedonian companies to receive expert support and advice from experienced Canadian consultants with extensive international experience and outstanding professional achievements. The consultants work on the specific challenges companies face, contributing to faster growth, increased competitiveness, and internationalization.

Each company is paired with a consultant whose expertise and experience match its specific needs. The consultants transfer advanced business tools, processes, and systems to improve organizational, production, analytical, and marketing capacities through training and mentorship lasting from two to four weeks. The main sectors covered by the consultants include: finance, tourism and hospitality, agribusiness, ICT, natural resource management, renewable energy, the food industry, and others. The program does not exclude any sector.

The program was established in partnership with Catalyste+  (formerly CESO SACO), a Canadian organization with 50 years of experience in international economic development. The organization works to develop the private sector and to strengthen the structures that drive economic and social change at the local, national, and international levels.

What does Macedonia2025 provide?

As part of the program, Macedonia2025 covers all costs of engaging the consultants. In addition, the organization carries out the evaluation of applications, manages the entire selection process, organizes interviews with the consultants, and coordinates cooperation with Catalyste+. Representatives of Macedonia2025 continuously monitor the cooperation between the consultants and the companies.

Obligations of the Company

The company must provide:

• A person who will be permanently available to the consultant, work most closely with them during the visit, and have a good command of English.
• Accommodation and meal expenses for the consultant's entire stay.
• Local travel expenses for the consultant (if necessary).

Who can apply?

The program is intended for micro, small, and medium-sized enterprises that meet the following conditions:

• At least one year of active operation;
• The owner and manager of the company is a Macedonian citizen and resident;
• A person from the company who will be permanently available to the consultant, work most closely with them during the visit, and have a good command of English;
• A high level of commitment from the company's management;
• Be in good financial standing (able to implement the changes and recommendations from the consultant);
• Meet the criteria for micro, small, and medium-sized enterprises.

*Companies that are export-oriented and/or offer innovative solutions will be given preference
