Macedonia2025 Establishes Recognition for Contributions of Diaspora Members
On April 12, 2023, Macedonia2025 and the Office of the President of the Republic of North Macedonia signed a Memorandum of Cooperation and Patronage of the President of the Republic of North Macedonia for the Recognition of the Contributions of Diaspora Members to the Development of the Republic of North Macedonia.
Macedonia2025 is establishing the Recognition for Contributions of Diaspora Members to honor and publicly acknowledge diaspora members who, individually or through their organizations and groups, have made significant contributions over the years to the economic and/or social development of the country, or to the promotion of the country internationally, through various forms such as donations, investments, volunteer work, and similar activities. The recognition values the efforts of diaspora members who voluntarily and selflessly give back to their homeland, either personally or through the previous generations of their family. At the same time, through this recognition, citizens, public institutions, civil society organizations, and the ultimate beneficiaries of good deeds, donations, and similar contributions have the opportunity to publicly express their gratitude to altruists from the diaspora.
This initiative byMacedonia2025 is intended for individuals, members of the diaspora, who, regardless of when and where they were born, are an inseparable part of the national fabric of the Macedonian people. This Recognition is a symbolic confirmation of their selfless and continuous engagement and contribution in various fields to their homeland. The recognitions will be awarded for exceptional contributions and achieved results in the areas of social and/or economic development, education, scientific research, arts, as well as for outstanding achievements in social and humanitarian assistance, or for contributing to the improvement of specific conditions in the homeland.
Macedonia2025, at an appropriate ceremony on April 25, 2023, together with the President of the Republic of North Macedonia, Mr. Stevo Pendarovsкi,will announce the names of the recipients and will present the Recognitions for this year.
