The project aimed at conducting a field research on the Diaspora Direct Investments (DDIs) in Macedonia. The concept of DDIs is relatively new and several emigration countries have benefited a lot from investments made by their diaspora. Macedonia2025 conducted a filed research (based on interviews and a questionnaire) on the investments made by its diaspora, as well as the potential investments from the diaspora. The project resulted in a report on the DDIs in Macedonia (size, industry, etc.), as well as main takeaways as to promote more DDIs (policy implications).
