Valentina Viteva – “SCIENCE FOR THE FUTURE” Promotional Campaign

Let’s inspire the next generations of scientists together!

As part of the “Science for the Future” campaign, we are pleased to share the story of Valentina Viteva, a teacher of biology, chemistry, and natural sciences at “Metodi Mitevski-Brico” Primary School in Lozovo. With her dedication and passion, Valentina not only teaches her students about the world around us but also helps them develop a deep respect and curiosity for nature.

Here’s how she describes her inspiration and the path that led her to science:

*"As a science teacher, I have always loved nature because it is something alive, visible, full of emotions, and tangible. Through nature, we learn all the characteristics of living organisms and their environment. We learn how we were created, born, how we breathe, how we eat, why we are sensitive, why we get sick, and how we heal.

Since I was little, I loved medicine, humanity, helping sick people, and their treatment. My favorite classes were biology and chemistry, where we learned a lot about nature and its environment. The teacher who taught me these subjects had a way of bringing nature and experiments to life, so I always studied these subjects with love, which is why I continued to study them further.

Even though we may say that everything in the world revolves around material things (money), modern technology and computers, new transportation, and justice, it all begins with human nature. When a person is healthy and reasonable, they can destroy and rebuild the world; but if a person is sick, they only wish to be healthy."*

Her motivational message is:

"Everything begins and ends with life."
