Danka Jeftimova – Strong Logic, Big Ambitions, and Inspiring Dedication

Danka Jeftimova, a scholarship recipient from the 2024/2025 generation under the “Talents Today – Leaders Tomorrow” Fund for Talented High School Students, is a third-year student at the Natural-Mathematical High School in Skopje, specializing in Mathematics–Informatics. She comes from Kočani and belongs to the quiet yet exceptional minds who consistently achieve top results.

With a second-place finish at the National Mathematics Competition and third place at the National Informatics Competition, Danka demonstrates her deep passion for logic and analytical thinking. Participation in the Macedonian Mathematical Olympiad, as well as completing the CS50P Python course at Harvard, positions her among the leading young minds in STEM fields.

🏆 Competitions and Scientific Challenges

In 2025, Danka:

• Won third place at the national informatics competition

• Advanced to the shortlist for the European Girls Olympiad in Informatics (EGOI) team

• Attended preparatory sessions for selection and received commendation

• Participated in regional and school informatics competitions, advancing step by step with full dedication

🔬 Research Spirit

Together with a friend, Danka authored a paper titled:

“Biocomputers and DNA Programming: Harnessing the Code of Life,” within a competition organized by SMM, the Informatics Association, and MANU. Through this initiative, Danka states:

“I enhanced my research skills, learned to present an advanced topic in a simple and understandable way, and, of course, discovered a new approach to programming.”

🌐 Global Learning and Networking

• In December 2024, she participated in an Erasmus+ project in Romania – Digitally United, discussing the impact of artificial intelligence

• In June 2025, Danka joined a youth exchange in Poland – Art of Games, representing the Macedonian team while sharing culture and creativity

• In July 2025, she will participate in a virtual data science camp through Kode with Klossy, a program for girls worldwide

❤️ Volunteering and Activism

In November 2024, Danka actively participated in a blood donation campaign with the Red Cross – Karpoš, helping with logistical support for donors. She demonstrates that beyond algorithms and formulas, she understands the importance of human solidarity.
