WORKSHOPS FOR ROBOTICS AND CODING FOR KIDS IN DRASLAJCA
June 14, 2022
June 15, 2022
On 14-15 June 2022, Macedonia2025 held two workshops for robotics and coding with primary school kids from Struga region. The workshop was held in the Primary School “Kliment Ohridski” in village Draslajca, and participants were students from the host school, as well as “Brakja Miladinovci” primary school in Struga.
In both days, the teams received various LEGO building challenges without the use of computers, but with the use of analog programming and special instructions that were distributed to the participants. Children studied according to world standards, international license and know-how from Israel. The training was delivered by Young Engineers Skopje, which is one of over 50 licenses worldwide providers for STEM education.
Funds for the workshop were raised on the initiative of Macedonia2025’s Ambassadors Club in November 2021, through the online fundraising campaign “Let’s Build the Future Generation of Macedonian High-Tech Kids” with the aim of developing coding and robotics skills of young people from socially vulnerable categories in Macedonia.
Our sincerest gratitude goes out to our Ambassadors Club, Aleksandra Miloseska for leading this initiative, and to all those who donated and supported this program.
We are also grateful for having the support of local businesses, our in-kind supporters: Unique Resort & Spa Hotel – Ohrid, Biomelan Aronija – Struga, Picerija Angela – Struga, and Restaurant 4×4 – Draslajca.
