PANEL DISCUSSION “DIGITAL TRANSFORMATION: YOUNG PEOPLE AS DRIVERS OF PROGRESS”

The future is in digitization and digital skills. Any country that aims to be a major player in the global economy or has aspirations to match leading countries must focus on the global economy. The benefits of a fully functional digitalized society are endless. Digitization allows the developing world to make big leaps and achieve economies of scale.

Macedonian citizens are significantly behind their peers from the EU in terms of digital skills, as well as the use of digital skills in everyday life and work.

The youth in Macedonia are those who are expected to be the driving force in the implementation of digital transformation and the development of a digital society. However, what are the challenges young people face? How can the digitization process be more efficient? What do young people need to realize their potential and be more competitive in the labor market?

The answers to these questions and many others were answered at the panel discussion “Digital Transformation: Young People as Drivers of Progress” which was held on 28.11.2022, at 14:00, in the premises of IT Labs. The attendees listened responsively to the invited experts: Prof. Dr. Nikica Mojsoska Blazevski – the chief executive officer of Macedonia 2025, Marko Serafimovski- a Senior Director and Head of the Cisco, Oracle, Java, and AWS training department In Semos Education, and Andrej Petreski – a team leader and country manager responsible for the overall team and sales results across two markets, while Mihail Ognenovski – employed at NLB Bank in the position of lending and advising legal entities and a member of Delta Mu Delta moderated the session. Representatives of educational institutions as well as young people, including students of American College Skopje and honorary members of Delta Mu Delta, attended the panel discussion.
