Sonja Šmuc, Bachelor of Economics, is in her third mandate of the Executive Director of the Manager Association, Slovenia, which focuses on the development of Slovenian management and promoting the competitiveness of the Slovenian economy. Inside, she was further specialized in business ethics and female management.
She is a member of several bodies such as the Council of Officials Republic, the accreditation commission DUTB, the Council for Gender Equality RS Advisory Committee on Equal Opportunities for Men and Women at the European Commission, and also she is a member of the selection committees of several economic prizes: Manager of the Year, Gazelle, Golden Thread, manager friendly enterprise marketing manager, human resource manager, etc.
She is a laureate of the Chamber of Commerce and OE Slovenia Ljubljana for Innovation Entrepreneurs in the business, co-author of the book “The export risks under control” and also author of over 600 commercial articles.
She studied at the Faculty of Economics in Ljubljana and abroad, among others at Stanford at the University of California, Wirtschaftsuniversität Vienna and at the IEDC – Bled School of Management. She speaks fluent English, Serbian and Croatian, and has passive knowledge of German and French.
