Ronny Arnberg is a Project Manager at the IVL Swedish Environmental Research Institute. Mr Arnberg has over 45 years’ experience from municipal infrastructure including waste management, water supply, wastewater treatment, and transport. He regularly manages projects in multicultural environments and has a wide network of professionals in the field of city infrastructure. He also has extensive international experience form IFI-projects in countries such as Russia, China, India, Moldova, Georgia, Rumania, Ukraine, Macedonia, Chile, and Peru. He is currently responsible for the transport system of waste management, the municipal combustion construction, the municipality’s biogas, compost facility, car park, etc.
He developed and implemented the first waste plan ever presented in the municipality which included a 100% waste sorting for recycling. The waste plan was also the first of its kind in Sweden at the time. As a result of the waste plan, Borlänge Energi AB began to get inquiries concerning the company’s participation in projects handling international development and international educational projects. As the first Swedish municipality company actively engaged internationally within this field. Worked in cooperation with IVL Swedish Environmental Research Institute in 25 years, and since 2012 work 40% Local level at Borlänge Energy and 60% in IVL at the National / International level.
