It is our great pleasure to announce Riccardo Maria Monti, President of multinational engineering firm Italferr, as a speaker at the MK2025 Summit. Mr Monti will talk on key metrics that drive economic growth, reflecting on Italy’s experience and his experience in over 30 countries.
Mr. Monti has extensive experience in the field of economic development and cross-border investments. He has worked with international corporations, investors and governments in over 30 countries, including in emerging markets such as Eastern Europe, the Middle East, Asia and Latin America. He has specialized in privatizations and helping firms expand abroad.
From April to June 2016, Mr Monti served as President of Grandi Stazioni SpA, owner and manager of the 14 largest Italian train stations, overseeing its privatization. From 2012 to 2016, he was Chairman of the Italian Trade Promotion Agency (ICE). He also served as a personal advisor for the Italian Minister of Economic Development (2012-2013). From 1999 to 2006, Mr. Monti managed the development and internationalization of Value Partners Group, helping to transform it from a boutique firm into a multinational management consultant company.
Mr. Monti is also presently a board member of Assocamerestero (the association of the Italian chambers of commerce overseas) and Advanced Capital, a primary ‘Alternative Investment’ firm. Since 2007 he has also served as Treasurer of the Board of the Robert Kennedy Foundation, which has been working on projects in Eastern Europe and the Middle East.
Mr Monti is also a Research Fellow in International Management at Columbia University, New York (USA).
