June 22, 2017 – Toronto, Canada
Macedonia2025 Leaders Club Members, Dijana Indovski and Aleksandar Orovcanec organized “Business after Hours” gathering at Montecito, Toronto. The gathering brought together over 30 successful expats who had a chance to expand their network and discuss potential business opportunities.
“We are very proud to be part of MK2025. It was our great pleasure to organize this casual gathering. Your presence tonight proves that wherever we are in the world, we find a way to get together, help each other and help Macedonia, which makes us stronger. We are fortunate to live a happy and successful life here, but part of our hearts will always be there.” – stated Mrs. Indovski at the opening of the event.
John I. Bitove (Jr.) also welcomed the professionals with a warm and inspirational speech. “I am thrilled that the Macedonian expat community is getting together to discuss business collaboration but also to learn more about Macedonia2025 – an organization that I am very proud of.” He provided an overview of the activities that MK2025 is implementing and invited everyone to contribute.
Once again Mk2025 was able to bring together amazing people at one place so they can connect and network. Michael Cklamovski, MK2025 Board Member from Chicago also attended the event and invited everyone to join the Summit 2017. He said that last year it was his first time to attend the Summit and the event was beyond what he expected.
The host, Dijana, explained that the organization is an NGO that depends on donations and all donations go to educational programs. She invited Elena Mladenovska Jelenkovic and Stevica Carapic, who obtained a full scholarship from our Executive Education Program at the Schulich School of Business to share their experience with the audience.
“Being a member of this organization is a way to help Macedonia. As a leader club member myself I try to support the mission of MK 2025 in organizing regional networking events that promote MK 2025, assisting in donations for educational programs, connecting with other successful members and spreading the word about Macedonia 2025.” – concluded Dijana, inviting everyone who is interested to join the Leaders Club to get in touch with her.
Aleksandar Orovcanec explained his way of contributing towards the organization stating that it was his immense pleasure to provide learning opportunities for Macedonian managers at his company, including a study tour and job shadowing. He wished everyone a pleasant eventing and invited them to mingle and enjoy the event.
“It’s a pleasure to be part of this wonderful organization Macedonia2025. Even though we are far away from our native country we can still help and contribute bringing our experiences and successes to our nation and to all the people of R. Macedonia. As a part of the leaders club I am always ready to help and support the organization and provide learning opportunities for our partners from Macedonia. So far we organized couple of networking events, met with many managers and entrepreneurs from Macedonian who were here to expand their knowledge and experiences and tried to share with them and explain them our paths to our successes. With bringing them in to the companies we work and companies we do business with, we tried to show them a representation of what is important and how the companies operate so they can bring that experience back home, share and implement with their peers. The goal is to assist as much as we can to support the growth of our small country R. Macedonia”
The event was also attended by the Macedonian Ambassador Mr. Toni Dimovski from our embassy in Ottawa as well as our consul general in Toronto Mr. Jovica Palashevski. This is our third gathering in Toronto, the previous two took place in 2014 and 2015. Our goal is to make this event an annual traditional gathering.
