Representatives of Macedonia 2025 attended the 3rd Annual conference of the Diaspora Organizations organized by the Agency of Immigration held in Skopje on 18-19 of July.
The conference had several discussion panels that covered topics like – education in Macedonian language for the Macedonian Diaspora, decrease in applicants for Macedonian citizenship, right to vote and improving legislature to make the voting process for Macedonians abroad easier.
One of the panel discussion was the “Mini business forum – investment possibilities in Macedonia”, with presentations from Invest in Macedonia, Macedonia 2025 and successful Diaspora businessman who invested in Macedonia. The panellists pointed out that the investment climate in Macedonia is favourable and that there are dozens of business Diaspora members that returned to their homeland and established small or medium size businesses.
Biljana Markovic, Head of Skopje Branch of Macedonia 2025, presented the organization and its economic development activities, with a special focus on the Macedonia Global Investment Summit 2012. The Summit, to be held in Ohrid this October, will provide an opportunity for participants to learn about different investment projects, to stimulate exports and to open new markets for Macedonian products and services. Ms. Markovic invited all participants to join the Macedonia Global Investment Summit 2012 in Ohrid, and to help build a platform for collaboration between Macedonian businessman from the Diaspora and Macedonian companies.
