Jim Nikopoulos is the Founder and CEO of MJ Holdings Corp., an asset management company. Jim also serves as Founder & CEO of Core Data Centres Inc. (a data centre and connectivity services company), Vice-Chair of Triad Financial Services Inc. (the longest-standing manufactured housing finance company in the U.S.), and Vice-Chair of My Abilities Technologies Inc. (a smart health technology company focused on workplace injury prevention and resolution).
Jim was the former President of ECN Capital Corp. (TSX: ECN), a leading provider of prime credit portfolios to more than 90 US financial institutions, and was formerly the EVP and GC of Element Fleet Management Corp. (TSX: EFN), the world’s largest fleet management company.
Jim also served as Board Chair and SVP at TeraGo Inc. (TSX: TGO), a cloud, collocation and connectivity services provider to Canadian businesses.
Jim began his career as a Partner at Davies Ward Phillips & Vineberg LLP, a leading business law firm, where he practiced in the areas of mergers and acquisitions, corporate finance, and governance.
Mr. Nikopoulos currently serves as a Director on the St. Michael’s Hospital Foundation Board. He also holds positions on numerous other charitable and private boards.
Mr. Nikopoulos earned an Honours BA degree (Economics & Political Science) from the University of Toronto and a Law degree (JD) from Osgoode Hall Law School. Mr. Nikopoulos was named one of Canada’s Top 40 under 40 Lawyers by Lexpert in 2014.
