Vladimir Gligorov is a Senior Researcher at the Vienna Institute for International Economic Studies (wiiw). His research is focusing on macroeconomics, economics and politics of Southeast Europe and in particular of the states of Former Yugoslavia. He has worked specifically in areas of trade integration, financial sector development, structural policies, development theory and policy and inequity in Southeast Europe.
Vladimir Gligorov works on research projects for the European Commission, has consultancy assignments for International Organizations, as the World Bank, the OECD etc. and worked as an advisor to the Croatian President and the Macedonian and Serbian Government.
He is a lecturer at the University of Vienna.
Vladimir Gligorov has been a regular contributor to Oxford Analytica (Oxford and New York). He has contributed opinion pieces to Wall Street Journal and writes regular columns for several newspapers and weeklies in Southeast Europe.
