It is our pleasure to announce Professor Shuichi Fukuda as a keynote speaker at the MK2025 Summit. Prof. Fukuda will talk on emotional engineering and process-focused design, and how they will lead to a paradigm shift in product design and will enhance fast adaptability, value and quality of life. Professor Shuichi Fukuda is currently Adviser and Professor of System Design and Management at Keio University. He is an expert in CAE, dynamics, reliability engineering, intelligent production, emotional engineering and the management of technology.
Prof Fukuda has a PhD in engineering from the University of Tokyo (1972) and served at Tokyo Metropolitan Institute of Technology (TMIT) for over 16 years, including in the position of Dean of Engineering. He has also served as Director for the Center for University-Industry-Government Collaboration, Consulting Professor at Stanford University and West Virginia University, and a Visiting Professor at Osaka University, Open University of Japan and Cranfield University (UK).
Prof Fukuda has also served as President of ISPE (International Society for Productivity Enhancement), Vice President of the Reliability Society (IEEE) and Chair of Computers and Information in Engineering Division, American Society of Mechanical Engineering (ASME). ASME has awarded him a Lifetime Achievement Award.
