18 May marked the completion of the 11th edition of the LEADER project – free-of-charge 10-day MBA workshop, where after finishing the final presentations, participants obtained certificates from the renowned Richard Ivey School of Business in London, Ontario – Canada.
Olga Rajchik was the participant who won the first place for the idea „EcoGrower “– 100% natural and organic fertilizer. The second place was awarded to Todor Panev for an idea connected to e-commerce, while Maja Kostovska won the third place for a socially responsible business.
“I am glad that the jury demonstrated trust in the product that we want to launch on the Macedonian and foreign market. I hope that this will be a stepping stone for my idea and will help me contribute to the development of the Macedonian agriculture and generally for the company where I work.” – stated Olga Rajchik, the winner of this year’s competition.
Macedonia2025 Executive Director – Biljana Markovic Stamenova emphasized that through the support of Macedonia2025, both Serbia and Bosnia and Herzegovina have started implementing the LEADER project in 2016 and 2017 respectively.
“We are delighted to announce that for the first time this year the three winners from Macedonia, Serbia and Bosnia and Herzegovina will have a chance to jointly present their business ideas in front of a regional and international jury, thanks to the project financed by the Western Balkans Fund. This will significantly enhance the visibility, content and the very impact of the program”. – highlighted Markovic Stamenova.
As part of the activities of the project “Strengthening of Cross-border Cooperation and Relations in the Western Balkans through People to People Contact of Young Entrepreneurs“, the nine winners will first present their business ideas on 22ndJune in Belgrade (Serbia), then on 9th August in Sarajevo (Bosnia and Herzegovina) and finally they will meet again on 7th November in Skopje (Macedonia) during the Macedonia2025 Summit.
Apart from the opportunity for joint regional presentation, the LEADER Project winners have also been awarded with free tickets for the upcoming Macedonia2025 Summit
